"No lives lost" - Hope amidst tragedy in COVID-stricken India

Sr Sherly Thomas and her NGO Seva Kendra work to prevent human trafficking and exploitation in 153 tea garden villages of southern Assam. Now she is responding to COVID-19 as it tears through India and her ill-equipped district.
Following a plea from local government and tea garden workers in the region, Seva Kendra established three COVID care centers, where 90 COVID patients are currently being looked after. To date, no lives have been lost.
