Resources

As part of our commitment to building the strength, sustainability and direct impact of frontline groups working to prevent slavery and human trafficking, we have developed a  toolkit on Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL).  Each part of the toolkit can be downloaded for free by clicking on the links below.

Introduction to MEL

This document outlines the core concepts of MEL, as well as the rationale behind integrating these concepts into your work. This document serves as a good reminder about the importance of MEL in projects. Read through if you are completely new to this space or need a quick reminder if you are well-versed with these concepts.

Glossary of Key MEL terms

Refer to this document for understanding the meanings of key terms commonly used in MEL processes and tools.

  • Theory of change - This is a useful tool that explains your work and what you wish to achieve.

  • Log frame - This tool outlines the relationship between your project activities and results.

  • Baseline - A tool used to gather information about what you wish to change through your project.

Further MEL Resources

Please refer to this document if you would like to learn more about MEL tools and processes. It covers free online courses, detailed explainers on various processes linked to MEL that have been developed by international development organisations, donor agencies and organisations working specifically in the anti-trafficking sector.

These resources were developed in partnership with the Rights Lab, University of Nottingham.
