Arise is hiring! Programmes Officer

Hours: Full-time

Location: London

Reports to: Director of Programmes

Salary: £28,000


Arise is an anti-slavery NGO working across the world to protect communities from exploitation. We support frontline groups and their networks as they work to prevent human trafficking in their communities.


We are seeking an individual passionately committed to upholding human dignity to join our dynamic and growing team to support our programmatic brief. The successful candidate should have experience in programme implementation, or a relevant field, such as grant making. They will be looking to develop and refine their skills in a fast-paced, dynamic, international charity which is thinking critically about frontline development and network building. They will be personable, organised and self-motivated - able to establish good working relationships at all levels. Critically, the successful candidate will be comfortable working with frontline abolitionists.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Support the Director of Programmes in the delivery of Arise’s grants and programmes portfolio. This will include, but is not limited to:

  • Working closely with the Director of Programmes to implement Arise’s programmes globally;

  • Taking the lead in spotting gaps and developing bespoke support structures for frontline networks and partners;

  • Supporting Arise’s frontline amplification and advocacy programmes;

  • Helping to coordinate all aspect of the grant cycle;

  • Helping to grow Arise’s grantee network, including working closely with in-country staff to identify new grantees.


REQUIRED

  • Undergraduate degree;

  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships across cultures;

  • Ability to travel when required.


DESIRED

  • Experience working in programme delivery or development;

  • Understanding and appreciation of faith-based work.

  • Understanding of the grant cycle.
