Salary: £22,500 for 32 hours per week or £28,000 for full time

Arise is an innovative anti-slavery charity confronting the problem of human trafficking and slavery through frontline groups. We are seeking a passionate, self-starting individual to assist with the coordination and administration of our global programmes. The successful candidate will work within our small London-based team to support our in-country leadership and to work with the team to develop and deliver some of Arise’s programmes.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:
Assist the Chief Operating Officer and the programmes team in the administration of tasks relating to Arise’s Nigeria project including, but not limited to, administering grants documents, supporting project consultants and liaising with partners and in- country staff.
Assist the Chief Operating Officer and the programmes team in the administration and implementation of general programmes, including our capacity building programmes.
To work closely with the Chief Operating Officer, Programmes Officer and country teams to ensure the smooth administration of Arise’s programatic work.
Take the lead on aspects of Arise’s programmatic and project portfolios under the direction of Arise’s Chief Operating Officer.
To carry out any and all other tasks within the broad scope of this job description.
REQUIRED SKILLS
An understanding of the issues of human trafficking and modern slavery;
Ability to work with minimal supervision and troubleshoot problems;
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other common software packages;
High-level of English language proficiency, written and spoken.
DESIRED SKILLS
Experience administering and managing programmes, preferably in anti-trafficking work.
Understanding and ideally experience of working to prevent exploitation in the anti-trafficking or other comparable context.
Knowledge of Portuguese, Spanish or Albanian.
Hours are 9am-5pm (GMT+8) Monday-Friday, though you may be expected to work flexibly from time to time. The initial contract is for two (2) years, with a six (6) month probation period. Arise is an equal opportunity employer.
