Arise supports frontline organisations, and their networks, to better confront the problem
of human-trafficking in their local communities. We are seeking a passionate, self-starting
individual to coordinate our growing anti-trafficking work in Albania.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:
To work closely with the CEO and Director of Programs to maintain Arise’s office in Albania, taking responsibility for day-to-day office management, including financial oversight;
Working closely with Arise’s Director of Programs, and other staff, to design and implement Arise’s work in Albania;
Implementation and day-to-day oversight of Arise’s programme of network development in Albania;
Provide updates on legal framework changes and other social initiatives taken by the Government or other service providers in relation to trafficking issues;
Develop Arise’s presence in Albania and represent Arise to key stakeholders;
Oversight of Arise’s grant portfolio in Albania;
Any other tasks that reasonably fall within the scope of this job description.
REQUIRED SKILLS
Proven track record of networking and relationship building across local civil society and different sectors and with a range of actors;
Good knowledge of western funding structures and what is necessary to succeed in project development;
At least two years experience of project management;
Demonstrable understanding of grant cycle management;
An understanding of the issues of human trafficking and modern slavery in Albania;
Proven ability to work with minimal supervision and troubleshoot problems;
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other common software packages;
High-level of English language proficiency.
DESIRED SKILLS
Experience creating and facilitating training courses, ideally with experience in capacity building training;
Office management and administration skills, ideally within the context of a startup.
